About Me

My name is Henry Offiah, I was born in a city outside of Lagos Nigeria. I moved to the US at the age of 8 with my mom. I spent most of my childhood in Carteret New Jersey before moving to Georgia for a few years and finally to Indiana. I have always had a passion for computers, so I went to school to get a BS in Computer Engineering & MS in Information Technology at Purdue University.

Towards the ending of my schooling, I met my wife. We moved to Indianapolis, eventually got married and had a beautiful, energetic, caring daughter. Growing up my mom didn’t have money but managed and that also meant I didn’t get to see my mom much because she had to work to provide. I want to make sure my daughter doesn’t have to grow up the way I did. I want to make sure there’s time for the soccer games, swim lessons, track meets, traveling, and just plain old having fun.

I started my journey in real estate investing back in 2017. It started with educating myself first and with that knowledge I was able to purchase our primary residence in 2018 using some of those techniques I learned. Fun fact, I bought our house through Craigslist believe it or not. In July 2019 I bought my first investment property, and 3 months later bought the second one. My investing goal is to own large apartment complexes but to get there I wanted to work my way up. So, I started with an initial goal to buy at least 2 properties each year of any mix. I started off buying single family properties and over the years I have acquired a few commercial properties but always keeping my investing goal in sight.

I have met wonderful people through my journey and just as the people I met helped me get where I am at today, I always believe in paying it forward. I love working with others as I would rather have a small piece of a pie than a whole piece of nothing.
